Live the Faith! Tip of the Week:
Consider how you can answer Christ’s call in Matthew 25 to serve in your daily life, including in your home. Ask Christ for the grace to recognize His face in others as Mother Teresa did so that your service can be truly loving and joyful.

Prayer:
Lord, I love you! Please give me the grace to recognize you in others and believe that I can truly love you and be loved by you, through them.

 

“As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; since it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’”

– 1 Peter 1:14-16

Live the Faith! Tip of the Week:
Deep down, do you believe that holiness is possible for you? That God has given you every grace you need to become a saint? Pray for the faith and trust in God who not only calls you to holiness but gives you everything you need to become holy. Then, pray and choose one concrete step you can take this week on that path to holiness.

Prayer:
Jesus, I believe you desire to “make us holy at all costs” as Padre Pio said. Please give me the grace to desire this holiness for myself and allow me to see the next step you are calling me to take in this path to holiness.

 

“…whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave; even as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

– Matthew 20:26-28

Live the Faith! Tip of the Week:
Take some time in prayer this week and ask God to show you His face in the face of the members of your family – in your spouse and in each of your children. Let that perspective guide you in your joyful service to them this week.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, you were not afraid to empty yourself and become the servant of all. I pray that I may also be unafraid to give myself in service to others, especially those in my family.

Have you wasted time with your children this week? Recall that your abiding presence – regardless of what you do – makes a difference.

Prayer:
Lord, I ask that you allow me the grace to see my family as an immense gift from you. May I treasure each person in my family and delight in each one of them today. Amen.
