Live the Faith! with Dcn. Harold Burke-Sivers

July 2, 2019

Live the Faith! Tip of the Week:

Take some time in your daily prayer this week to thank Mary for her fiat; for saying “Yes” to God and delivering Jesus, our savior, into this world. Think about what God is asking of you and ask His mother to intercede on your behalf for the grace to say “Yes” to God, just as she did.

Deacon Harold will be a featured speaker in TMIY  Year 5 – The Fight of Faith. Available this fall.

Live the Faith! Rethink Happiness

June 19, 2019

“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
– Psalm 16:11

Live the Faith! Tip of the Week:
It is a constant temptation for us to seek happiness in worldly and material things. These pleasures bring us temporary satisfaction, but never a true, lasting happiness. Let us go through the process of Metanoia, to rethink our lives and realize where we find true happiness: in the love of our families and friends, and ultimately in the Lord our God.

Paul George will be a featured speaker in TMIY  Year 5 – The Fight of Faith. Available this fall.

You can find Paul’s book, Rethink Happiness, at his website here.

Live the Faith! Spoiled Clay

June 4, 2019

“And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.  Then the word of the Lord came to me: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? says the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.
– Jeremiah 18:4-6

Live the Faith! Tip of the Week:
All of us us sin and make mistakes, but God always shows us mercy and makes us new as long as we are truly penitent. Take some time in prayer to submit your own will to the will of God; ask Him to mold you into the man you were meant to be.

Paul George will be a featured speaker in TMIY  Year 5 – The Fight of Faith. Available this fall.
